About DW Hart Woodworking

For me, building a deck has never been about square footage or materials alone. It’s about creating a place where life happens—morning coffee in the quiet, family dinners that stretch into the evening, weekends spent outside instead of indoors.

I’ve spent more than 36 years working with wood, and over that time I’ve built more than 450 decks for homeowners who wanted something solid, thoughtful, and built to last. That experience shows up in the details most people don’t notice at first: clean lines, solid framing, careful transitions, and a finished space that feels natural to the home and the landscape around it.

Today, I’m joined by my son, Wyatt. Working alongside him is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. We share the same respect for the craft and the same belief that quality work speaks for itself. Every project we take on is one we’re proud to put our name on—together.

I approach every project personally. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, I stay hands-on, present, and invested. Limiting the size of our operation isn’t an accident; it’s a choice. It allows us to stay involved in every build and deliver the level of quality I’d expect on my own home.

I believe a well-built deck should quietly do its job for years—supporting everyday life without calling attention to itself. No shortcuts. No rushed decisions. Just honest craftsmanship, built to be used and enjoyed.

At DW Hart Woodworking, decks aren’t add-ons or accessories. They’re living spaces—built with care, intention, and pride in the work.
